Director para América del Diccionario del Cine Iberoamericano (España, Portugal, América). Ha sido asesor de la presidencia del Instituto Cubano del Arte y la Industria Cinematográfica (ICAIC) y ha participado como Jurado en numerosos festivales de cine. Actualmente dirige el Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano de La Habana.
