Synopsis.

Evita Perón has died. She is the most loved, but also the most hated political figure of Argentina. A leading expert is given the task of embalming her. After months of hard work, the result is perfect. Meanwhile in Argentina, the coups come one after the other and some dictators want to delete Evita’s legacy from the people’s memory. Her body therefore becomes the focal point of clashes lasting for 25 years. 25 years during which Evita was a more powerful figure than any other living politician.

 

Pablo Agüero.

Pablo Agüero took his first steps in cinema shooting several short films, winners of awards at different international festivals. In 2008 he made his first feature film, Salamandra, which participated in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. The second, 77 Doronship (2009), was acknowledged with the Best Director Award at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival and participated in Zabaltegi – New Directors in San Sebastian. His penultimate work, the documentary Madres de los dioses (2015), received a special mention at the Mar del Plata International Festival.
